CURRENT POSITION :

1997 - now       Postdoctoral fellow in Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
                           Supervisor - Dr. M.Q. Zhang.
                           Subject : Sequence analysis of eukaryotic promoters, eukaryotic promoter recognition.
                           Development, management and analysis of eukaryotic promoter DNA databases.

EDUCATION :

1992 - 1997     The Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel),
                          Department of Structural Biology.
                          Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Prof. E.N. Trifonov & Dr. L. Ulanovsky.
                          Subject : Recognition of subtle patterns in DNA sequences.
                          1. Development, management and analysis of nucleosome DNA sequence database.
                          Extraction of common nucleosome DNA sequence pattern by multiple sequence alignment,
                          resonance and linguistic analysis. Nucleosome structure and positioning.
                          2. Calculation of suboptimal single-stranded DNA folding and evaluation of its influence on
                          efficiency of DNA sequencing by modular primers.
                          The work included development of original algorithms and software.

1978 - 1983      State University in Dushanbe (USSR),

                        "Ravshan" Scientific-Technical Center (Dushanbe).

                        1. Development of a software package for optimum planning of a schedule for airplane flights.
                        2. Adjusting of software package for mathematical modeling of turbulent mixing of gas streams
                           with suspended admixtures in chemical reactors.

                        Work subjects :
                        1. Computer mathematical modeling of behavior and calculation of seismoresistance of
                            electrical equipment while affecting by earthquake. Development of a software package.

                            oil-processing industry.
